St Edmundsbury Male Voice Choir The St Edmundsbury Male Voice Choir has been entertaining audiences since 1988, when it was founded by four teachers. Currently the choir numbers around 90 members, drawn from Bury St Edmunds, the surrounding villages and from as far afield as Ipswich, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. The choir has a wide repertoire including folk songs, Welsh hymns, spirituals, 1940s swing, and songs from musical theatre and tunes from the charts.

The choir performs regularly in Suffolk but also tours extensively in the UK and Europe assisting many charitable organisations with their fund raising activities. They also frequently sing with other choirs, groups, bands, orchestras and solo artists.

2016 proved a busy year with a concert at the Apex with Laura Wright, concerts in Essex and in Dublin and Belfast. The choir raised money for several charities including Nordorff Robins, prostate cancer and local hospices. This year is also extremely busy with a fund raising concert in Isleham, a French tour in April and concerts in Clare and King’s Lynn. In October the choir are taking part in the Derby Cathedral Three Choirs Festival, joining the Dalesmen and Mansfield and District Male Voice Choirs.
