12th August 2019:We received an email from John Guyler, recallingan unforgettable concert from Woolpit Festival’s 2003 programme, with Chas & Dave, the first Headliners booked bythenFestival Director Ray Melvin. Saturday 21st June, 2003 and just £12 for a ticket! What a night! The full house rocked and many said it was the loudest and most exciting live concert ever held in Woolpit Village Hall. Thanks for that wonderful memory, John.
Chairman Jenny Semmens and Director Lionel Denny thank Chris Barber for a memorable sell out headline concert at the 2012 Woolpit Festival, seen by a full house of over 270. The audience were treated to an amazing concert. Many old Chris Barber fans were in the audience, one of whom, Bob Jackson, chatted to Chris during the interval and recalled attending past shows, a true fan. What a great night.
